Project Milestones
Since this is still not a mature technology yet, our approach is to divide the project into 5 main stages. After sufficiently developing our product, we hope to achieve full scale desalination of sea water.
Stage 1
Pilot Scale
For the first stage of our development, we aim to develop a pilot prototype that we can commercialise and introduce into the market. The first model will be designed to convert water of low salinity into Ultra-Pure water
This can be used in the following applications:
- Laboratory Applications
- Pharmaceutical Development
Targeted Feed Water Salinity = 0.10% (Tap Water)
Targeted Product Salinity = 0.05% (Ultra Pure Water)
Planned Efficiency = 50%
Stage 2
Small-medium scale use
In this stage, we plan to develop our product further in order to convert water of a higher salinity and test the scalability of our design.

This can be used in the following applications:
- Potable water
Targeted Feed Water Salinity = 0.5% (Brackish Water)
Targeted Product Salinity = 0.10% (Tap Water)
Planned Efficiency = 80%
Stage 3
Medium-large scale use
This stage will focus on scaling up our product for medium-large scale use and allow it to handle feed water of a higher salinity than the previous stage.

- Agriculture/Farming
Targeted Feed Water Salinity = 1.5% (High Salinity Water)
Targeted Product Salinity = 0.10% (Tap Water)
Planned Efficiency = 93.33%
Stage 4
Large scale use
We plan to achieve full-scale sea water desalination by this stage. Our product will be 100% scalable and it will be ready for sea water desalination at an industrial level.

- Full sea water desalination
- Water desalination plants

Stage 5
Further Research
After achieving our full-scale sea water desalination goal, we plan to continue our research to find other potential applications for our technology such as:
- Desalination of higher salinity water
- Ability to separate other minerals from sea water
- Ability to separate other minerals from other solutions
- Full separation between solvents and solutes
